2010 Big Fish & Ol’Blue Contest
Spring 2010 … Hatchopedia.com hosted a contest what would become the talk of Southwest Montana! The concept was simple- catch big fish, win immense amounts of gear, buy raffle tickets, win a fishing rig (truck & boat) and lastly donate all the money to a good cause.
Part one, The Big Fish Contest, prizes were awarded in three categories biggest rainbow, biggest brown & biggest whitefish.
Part two, raffle tickets were sold for $10 each to get a chance of winning Ol’Blue 2. As a bonus for the fisherman, any person that submitted a fish photo into the Big Fish Contest were automatically given one free raffle ticket for the chance to drive Ol’Blue home.
Winner of Ol’Blue:
Ol’Blue 2 found a new home the night of May 27th. Keith Loeber purchased the winning ticket and was at the event to claim the rig. Nearly 350 people showed up to see who had the lucky ticket. Hatchopedia.com raised about $4000 dollars that will be donated to the Greater Gallatin Watershed Council. Hatchopedia.com would like to thank all the sponsors and participants for making the contest a big success.
Winner of the Bud Lilly Hat Raffle:
Chauncey Kohill was the lucky winner of the Bud Lilly Hat Raffle. Chauncey won the rare & amazing opportunity to fish with Bud Lilly on a premier stretch of private water in Three Forks, MT. In addition, Chauncey & a guest will receive lodging and dining during their trip. Sounds like Chauncey will be fishing with his father on this special trip, nothing better than a father-son fishing trip.

The contest is over, and the winners are in! Hatchopedia would like to thank everyone who participated in the Big Fish Contest. It was a close race and some great fish were entered.
