A dry fly haven, with plentiful populations of Caddis, Salmon & Stone Flies, BWO’s and Hoppers make this an outstanding river. We define the Lower & Middle river as the section found between Wise River and Twin Bridges. There are no difficulties finding public access around here, with access points dispersed every several miles. Check us out for up to date Salmon Fly Reports , unbiased and directly from your peers.

Saw just a few few spruce moths, but the fish liked them. Slowed down when the wind started about lunchtime.

The water has come up a little bit with the rain showeres. I have been fishing hoppers in the sun and streamers in the clouds and have been doing really well. Morish Hoppers in peach have been deadly.

I threw hoppers all day yesterday with my wife on the Bighole and the fish aren’t ready for them. We did force feed a few fish and a few fish ate the Caddis dropper but overall it was fairly slow day. It was nice to be out on the water. Silver Bridge is back open.
